Description
The saltwater standard for anglers who want power, reliability, and range.
The CCF-X2 6/8 is where the X-Series hands off and serious saltwater begins. Built around the proprietary CCF-X2 dual-action drag system with InfinAdjust continuous range control, this reel is fully sealed against salt, sand, and repeated immersion. It handles medium saltwater species and doubles as a capable freshwater option for steelhead and salmon. Light enough for a full day on the flats, strong enough to not be the reason you lost the fish. If you’ve been fishing saltwater on an X-Series and know you need more, this is the next reel.
The CCF-X2 8/10 is one serious saltwater reel. It covers the widest range of conditions and species in the lineup—permit on the flats, tarpon in the backcountry, offshore work when the trip calls for it. The CCF-X2 drag runs 20 to 25 pounds of stopping power with no detents, no dead zones, and no performance degradation after repeated runs in heat and salt. High backing capacity, fully sealed housing, Giga arbor for fast line recovery. Most serious anglers who fish saltwater own this size. There’s a reason for that.
Built for the fish for which failure is not an option. The CCF-X2 10/12 runs heavy lines, carries maximum backing, and delivers extreme drag pressure through the same dual-action CCF-X2 system scaled up for big-game conditions. It is fully sealed for tropical heat, cold water, and constant abuse. This is the reel you bring to destinations where the fish are measured in pounds you don’t want to say out loud and a gear failure ends a trip you planned for a year. It is not too much reel. It is the right reel for what it was built to do.
The Silver King is a statement tool. It’s built specifically for the fish that destroy lesser reels, including tarpon, GT, large permit, and anything else that runs fast, runs far, and does not slow down. It has maximum backing capacity, extreme drag pressure, and is fully sealed for the harshest conditions on the planet. The CCF-X2 Silver King is not a reel you buy because it looks good on the wall. You buy it because you’ve been to the places that break other reels and you’re not going back with anything less. One and done.
